Wiimote Interactive Whiteboard with the Raspberry Pi

I am currently in the process of trying to build a interactive whiteboard based on Johnny Chung Lee's idea but I cannot seem to find either an example of python code for it or a software package that will open on my Pi. I also have some experience with python but I'm not brilliant at it. If you have any suggestions to try or have maade one already then please let me know and if possible please include instructions. I have tried numerous downloads that say the should work but they dont open on my RPi. Am I doing something wrong? Any help will be gratefully accepted.

  • Hello, this is old, but i achieved exactly this, yesterday. My name is Zac as well, cool coincidence. I wanted to project my raspi GUI to a wall and use the Wiimotewhiteboard program to control the pi. I achieved this. I am using Raspbian Stretch with Pixel GUI and installed bluez and Java 7 JRE/JDK to the pi. Then, i am just running the java version of the WiimoteWhiteboard app. I installed it by downloading the debian file and installing via GDebi image Hope this helps anyone. For the commands, just run sudo apt-get install or aptitiude install commands to get the necessay plugins. icedtea-plugin for web browser is also another one thats good to install along side of Java 7. For those interested, i am just pushing the output of the pi through HDMI to a mini projector, using the Wiimote as the IR sensor and an IR pen for the cursor image
