Rugged RPi Camera case

I've been working on a mount and a fairly rugged case for my RPi camera recently, some photos here

The end goal being to do some timelapse and video where the camera would need to be outside in a rather hostile environment

    Not really, but since the camera is quite cheap and they appear to be reasonably easily available now then there's a chance I might try it.

     

    There looks like there is plenty of space in the case to include motion sensors and IR emitters.

    There's a fair bit of space left, you're limited by sizes of cases with clear lids that a Pi will fit in though.  One idea is a simple ambient light sensor on i2c which would let you change settings for day/night or whatever.  I do have some sensors, but just didn't have time to put one in there this time.
