    The new thermostat switches are perfect! Check out the temperature chart - the heater turns on at about 7degC and off at 11. And I noticed the heat is on fully when the thermostat is on, as opposed to “sort-of on” with the KSD switches I was using before. They’re also very reliable at keeping a more even temperature.

    I used the shopping cart to pick up a UPS (battery backed power supply) - I've had that on my wish-list for many many years already.

    I also got a SwissBit hardware encryption key to help protect my main accounts. I'm looking forward to see how that works. My initial thought plan is to use that as a backup 2FA, but I'm not sure if it would be better to just skip SMS 2FA altogether and go straight for the hardware key. dunno, me is not so much smart yet.

    And last but not least, on my never-ending quest of trying to find a good way to switch a USB-powered hand-warmer to keep my hummingbird feeders from freezing in the winter, I picked up some different thermostat switches to try. So far the only thing that has worked for me is the KSD9700 type 15degC switches from AliX, but they are soooo not accurate. Maybe they don't like 5VDC. I fiddled around with some temperature ICs, but haven't been able to figure that out yet.

    The 3 little cylinders are rated for 10degC, which is perfect for my use. The one with the wires is rated at 20degC, which I thought would work, but then just a few days ago I noticed that the nectar goes bad much too quickly at that temperature. But maybe that will work if I locate it correctly on the nectar bottle in relation to the heat source.
