In this post, I will give some sketches of Gr0G box from a mechanical point of view.
The structure will be built with aluminum extrusion. I found some bars designed to house LED strips (see picture). These bars will made up the top and bottom panels of the cube.
The four lateral panels will be made up with a bar for the LED strip, two L-shaped aluminum extrusion (at the top and the bottom) and a 20 x 1 mm aluminum bar.
This is the detail of the junction between two adjacent lateral panels
The four lateral panels are joined to the bottom panel by means of a joint to allow the box t be folded and unfolded. The top panel will be joined to one of the lateral panels in the same way
The aluminum bars will be riveted
The structure will be covered with transparent Plexiglas panels. Lateral and top panels will be covered with 2mm panels, the bottom with a 4 mm one, in order to hold up the compressor and the other pneumatic components. Plexiglas panels will be kept in place by tapping screws
