With less than two weeks remaining to the submission deadline and no info about the second Freedom board I require (it's not available even on NXP store), I decided to give up: unfortunately I will not be able to complete the project. I will make some videos with the current project development and I will publish the source code, but I won't build a working prototype

That is bad news.

I was looking forward to seeing you build and test this device.

Is it only because of the missing board or are there other issues forcing you decision?

No, the only problem is the missing board (well, there are also some economic considerations since components like the motor are not available at my local distributor).
As a proof this is not a pretense, I can just say that I was in Orlando (FL) last may and I bought there the motor controller board (since again it was not available at my local distributor). However, motors and freedom board were not available at that moment in time. I waited, and now motor is available on NXO store but not the freedom board. So, after wasting 55$ for the motor controller, I'm not willing to spend more time and money on this project...
