The Off the Shelf competition was a contest that encouraged you to take a project that's been sitting on the shelf and start working on it. You could revive a half- finished project and get it closer to the finish line. This was a great opportunity to find an excuse to start working on something that you never got around to finishing and by doing so giving new life to a project. You could also take any project you've worked on in the past, and do something different from it. We were interested in knowing the story behind your original project and what motivated you to continue working on it.
genebren took the grand prize with his outdoor lighting revamp and colporteur turned in an impressive fireworks simulation over the course of several days. No stranger to winning Project14 competitions, dougw and robogary round out our winning projects. Also receiving votes was a really cool Mario gaming project by dwinhold and an ingenious oscilloscope clock project by wolfgangfriedrich .
