“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”— Ansel Adams

The theme this month is Photography  and it comes from dougw .   His idea was to build any projects involving photos.  You could do projects involving stop action photography by combining timers and photography to create stop action photography video projects or any number of projects involving image processing and cameras.  You could do TinyML projects using OpenMV as covered in Build Powerful Wildlife & Livestock Trackers with OpenMV and Edge Impulse, a computer vision project involving AI such as the drone project in Arduino Day Workshop: NanoDrone II: AI and Computer Vision with LoRa (Win a PSoC6 and a Pair of MKR 1300 Boards!) ,  training a neural network such as in LDR Camera #10 : The Artificial Neural Network (SimonnV5) and LDR Camera #8 : Fully Working Camera , using advanced vision and frame manipulation for obstacle avoidance such as in BBAI Seein' Around Corners, Talkin', IoT Exploitin' Backup Car Cam with Onboard Vision AI ,  FPGA such as in SecuCam #2: Hardware Accelerated Motion Detection with the PYNQ-Z2, robotic automation such as Episode 489: Build An FPV Rover with Raspberry Pi , augmented reality such as ARBot #5 : The Final Working (after a fashion) System , and even a Lego Camera such as Episode 465: Lego Raspberry Pi HQ Camera.   There's a lot scope to these projects so share your project ideas below and help inspire one another to get as creative as possible!  If your project idea involves the Raspberry Pi HQ Camera then we'll send you a Raspberry Pi 4 B,  a Raspberry Pi HQ module, and a 12 MP lens to help you turn your idea into a reality.  We're giving away up to 5 Raspberry Pi HQ kits as a promotion.  You can still use whatever hardware you like but we'll pick a few project proposals to send kits to!

Looks like Arducam have upped the game (and resolution) again.

64 MPix 'Hawk-eye' camera in the R Pi V1/V2 camera form factor.

    https://www.arducam.com/64mp-ultra-high-res-camera-raspberry-pi/

Thought I'd mention it here in case anyone was after higher resolution in their Pi Photography projects.

    Hi tariq.ahmad

Thanks for selecting my project proposal and providing Raspberry Pi HQ Camera kit. Today, I received a call from UPS delivery person that parcel from Element14 has arrived. Unfortunately that has arrived at my office address (where I usually receive parcels from Element14) which has been closed on account of the pandemic situation here and I am in a different location now. My bad, I assumed you would be taking my current address from my profile. So didn't inform you before.

I have requested the UPS delivery person to deliver the parcel to my relative who stays near my office on my behalf by submitting required proofs on Monday. So there could be a delay of a week before I can receive the parcel from my relative.

Thanks for the extension of deadline until July 28 (I don't think it would be fair to ask for further extension than July 28 because of this unexpected delay). I am trying to complete the software part of the project as much as possible before the kit reaches and try to submit project before deadline.

    Regards,

    Dixon Selvan

I hope so. We were able to get the PI and camera up and running, but we're buying a few more parts to finish our build.

    Hi michaelwylie ,

I will be posting a round up later today with the date of the deadline.  Would the 28th of July be enough time?

Thanks Tariq. Can you confirm how much time we have to complete the projects? I'm not sure I can collect all the footage I want in just one extra week.

Congratulations to fyaocn ,   Attila Tőkés ,   michaelwylie ,  scottiebabe , and dixonselvan .    You are the additional winners of the Raspberry Pi HQ camera kits.    I know we weren't able to get these out as soon as we would like so likely we will be extending this contest an extra week to give people that just won kit time to submit their projects.

That is a super interesting implementation. I have plans to implement my digital camera into a SMD microscope as well(well to be fair the platform is quite flexible image)

Open CV would be interesting to see for component placement. I suppose you would first need to locate the footprints themselves, then it would be easy to trian a model that identifies if it's a raw footprint(with sample images of ENIG, OSP, hasl, etc) and images of components on them(a ton of packages).
