Inside Tips on the Renesas RX65N Envision Kit

We recently roadtested the Renesas Envision KitRenesas Envision Kit. The Envision Kit allows quick and easy evaluation of the RX65N microcontrollers, which are typically used in HMI (Human Machine Interface) projects, among other things. The Envision Kit allows you to experience, through pre-installed demos, firmware updating using the new dual-bank flash function of the RX65N microcontroller. Learn more about the Envision Kit by going to our roadtest page here: Renesas RX65N MCU EV Kit image

Our roadtest reviews are currently being written and published, so please go to the roadtest page to check them out.

While roadtest reviews are a great starting point to learn about a kit, sometimes the post-roadtest blogs on a dev kit provide much more detail and interesting tips on working with the dev board. This is what has happened with the Envision Kit. Roadtester Jan Cumps has written a number of interesting blogs that explores different aspects and features of the Enivision Kit. An index of those blogs is listed below. I encourage you to read them and learn!

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 1: Create an Empty Project

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 2a: Blinky with GCC Toolchain

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 2b: Blinky with Timer and Interrupt

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 3: Port an example from Renesas toolchain to GCC

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 4a: Low Power - Sleep

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 4b: Low Power - Software Standby

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 5: DAC

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 6: Software SHA

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 7: Blinky with FreeRTOS

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 8: DMA

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 9: UART

Renesas RX65 Envision Kit - part 10: Reserve LCD Frame Buffer in Expansion RAM with GCC
