I think I had trouble deciding which project of yours to feature. I went with Midi Synth but forgot to change the option in the poll. Its been corrected now.

My personal favorite project of 2020 was the Electric Hula Hoop because of its extensive mechanical design, custom PCB design, firmware design and because it was a unique machine that actually worked. Of course I am a little biased on this one...
However from the great list of excellent projects above I chose jw0752 very creative electronic techno-sculpture. Despite the "Do Nothing Machine" part of the title, the fact that it has electronics that actually do perform a lot of functions, makes it extra special.
I also liked fmilburn Rosie Learns to Solder. I assume it is a play on Rosie the Riveter but some how it ticked a lot of boxes for cleverness, electronic design, women in STEM, etc. and struck a nerve.
Another project I found to be very impressive was the amyworrall great theatre lighting controller project. It has cool hardware, software, impressive detective work and depth of knowledge in a field I know little about.
