Where does tinkering stop and engineering begin? Clem challenges himself to build his magnum opus, a laptop from scratch. While the project starts on a fast pace with the keyboard already built in a previous video, he soon discovers where the line is drawn between casual Makers and Engineers. To overcome the steep learning curve of power supply design, he has to design his first ever step up converter and find a way to put multiple converters in parallel. Charging and protecting multiple cells is a challenge in itself, but Clem has a plan. Will this project break him? Or will it put him on the way to learn proper engineering?
