Greetings everyone! As we bid our farewells to the year 2022, it's time to take a look back at all that the element14 community has accomplished over the past 12 months. From exciting campaigns and programs, to outstanding member contributions in various competitions, it's been a fantastic year filled with creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

Throughout the year, the element14 community participated in a range of roadtests (and reviews), as well as the highly-anticipated Project14 and Design Challenge competitions and the element14 essentials quizzes. And let's not forget about the amazing content and projects from the element14 presents videos.

As we reflect on all the amazing contributions from our members, we also want to take a moment to celebrate the Rising Contributors and Top Members of 2022. These individuals have made a significant impact on the element14 community through their hard work, dedication, and passion for electronics and technology.

So, without further ado, let's dive into the element14 community's year in review for 2022, and relive some of the most exciting moments from the past 12 months!

Our big feature competitions of the year come in the form of the Design Challenge program. Headed up by element14 Community staff member  and  , these big hitting competitions focus on creating innovative solutions for real-life problems, and that can include for the fun of it, too.

With each design competition comes the requirements to write up your project in blog posts, and while it may not have came out as the best project, we can still appreciate a good and well presented blog.

As element14 Community staff part of the challenge for coming up with competitions is simply deciding what topic to challenge competitors with. We mull over different ideas, available equipment, what's trending at the time, and of course, debating between ourselves in the team.

We believe the Just Encase Design Challenge stands out, from a seemingly mundane pretense to amazing projects, we were simply blown away, be sure to click through and review the entrants and winners yourself.

A long-running program on the element14 Community, and one that we hold dear to us, is the RoadTest and Review program. Frankly we're proud of our members that get to use and keep the hardware we give away for free, and we're ever thankful that we're given fantastic reviews in return.  works hard to ensure that the program is ran properly.

Project14 has really grown from its conception, we came up with this idea when we considered how to do Design Challenges on a more regular cadence, and still be able to award our members with the great entries that they produce. We figured that members probably have a lot of components and equipment themselves and produce projects from time to time and we'd steer that with monthly concepts.  works pretty hard to keep it in check with the help of member judges.
