Every winner of a Project14 competition was voted on by members of the element14 community. Monthly themes are voted on by members every month. Themes that are voted on are chosen based on topics members want to do projects around.

Prizes are given to winners to make things fun but the goal of the program is to create an inclusive environment where everyone can learn from one another. The giphys are cool : ) They work with that nice layout.
I remember my first web page at uni.. we had so little web space and no culture : ) so everyone had tiny knight-rider animations and walking multi-colored ant-dots as borders around titles... classy : )

I was worried I went overboard with the giphy and then figured if you're going to try something new then you might as well go all in. Some of my favorite projects weren't even picked as winners and a lot of them can be seen in the giphy's.

Wow , that's a great amount of building, investing and making been going on. And it is also just the tip of the iceburg as there are many other great projects entered for each challenge. Great work from all the Element14 members that have taken part and thanks to Tariq for running all these Project14 competitions.
