When Dave saw BD-1 while playing the latest Star Wars game on his xbox, he knew he had to build a BD-1 companion bot for himself. Some things definitely had to be achieved for this build, like the display in the back of the head or the stim / med pack shooter of the buddy robot. Adding the projector complicated the build, as now the power consumption got even bigger than the Raspberry PI would already takes. This astrobot is not designed to walk around, but rather sit on your shoulder, like in the game.
